Adhesive trap for monitoring small and medium-sized Lepidoptera, it consist of a roof and an adhesive board linked together with crossed axis. TRAPTEST must be activated by a specific pheromone dispenser in order to attract the males of the species that remain entangled on the glued surface. In agricultural environment, the use of TRAPTEST is recommended to monitor the flights of lepidopterans in orchards and vineyards. It is an essential decisional support for pest management since it allows the farmer to know when the real level of infestation exceeds certain thresholds. TRAPTEST an also be used in food industries where, activated by the specific pheromone dispenser, detects the presence of food moths or other flying insects.

Frequency of controls

Weekly, change the trap after two months of before if necessary. Using th trap in humid or dusty places could reduce che functionality over time.

How to use

If activated with pheromone dispenser for agricultural pest:
– it is recommended to install n. 3 TRAPTEST /hectare. For plots larger than one hectare, calculate 3 traps for the first hectare and one trap for each additional hectare. In case of simultaneous monitoring of several species, place the TRAPTEST for each species at a minimum distance of 30 meters the one from each other. Never place more than one dispenser inside the same trap.

If activated with food moth pheromone:

– it is recommended to install Traptest inside food industries, storehouses, supermarkets, herbalist’s shops, mills, pantries and all those places where it is stocked: wheat, cereals, biscuits, bread, pasta, chocolate, cocoa, candy, dried fruit, nuts, tea, camomile, tobacco, spices.
TRAPTEST must be placed at a height of 1.8 -2 m maximum, one trap every 200 m2.
